Director Sigmund Bakken is a well established art dealer in the

Norwegian art scene. After beginning his career at Henie Onstad

Art Centre in 1994, he has worked for Kunstnerforbundet Gallery

(head of sales), Gallery Trafo (co-owner and director) and

Rod Bianco Oslo (co-owner and director).

Bakken has over the years curated and hosted a great variety of

exhibitions. Selected exhibitions include Damien Hirst (“New religion”,

2006 and “the Dead, 2010 at Gallery Trafo), Andy Warhol

(“Automat” in 2008, Gallery Trafo and “Sex Parts & Fright Wigs”

in 2011,  Rod Bianco Oslo) and solo shows of Peter Blake, Gavin Turk,

John Duncan, Morten Viskum, Tom Sandberg, Magne Furuholmen,

Pushwagner and Roger Ballen.

Over the last yeas he has concentrated on dealing international

masters of modern and contemporary art to central institutions and

art collections in Norway and Scandinavia. Bakken Fine Art was

established in 2010 and moved into Tordenskioldsgate 7 in Oslo

in february 2012.
